Interim Executive Director

Born and raised in Cheyenne, Ed Prosser has been a rancher and businessman in Laramie County all his adult life.  He and his wife, Nancy, have a grown son and daughter as well as three grandchildren.  In addition to cattle ranching south of Cheyenne, the family also owned and operated A&C Feed for 27 years.

Ed has also served in the Wyoming State Legislature and was past chairman of the Laramie County Regional Planning Commission as well as the Laramie County Community College Foundation Board.

A long-time member of the Wyoming Stock Growers Association, Ed has continued the lengthy history of his family’s involvement in Wyoming’s agriculture industry.  Ed’s great-grandfather started ranching south of Cheyenne in 1906, and the Prosser family continues to ranch in that community 102 years later.  His late father, Dean Prosser, served as Executive Secretary of WSGA for over 20 years.  Today, Ed runs a yearling steer operation on the ranch south of Cheyenne, as well as on property at Iron Mountain, Wyoming.
